Lunchtime Charter feedback
British values display
Shelby and Lloyd have taken class copies of the lunchtime charter into all classrooms. The Big version is now on display in the hall (Good work everyone!)
School council agreed the lunchtime Charter is having an impact. Mia noted that she had seen lots of people looking at it as they queued for lunches.
School Council still feel there is a problem with lunchtime behaviour and several classes have put on their boards that they would like more equipment to play with at play times. Lois suggested that the money we raise at Enterprise week could go on improving the stock of playtime activities.
British Values.
Mrs Rees brought our attention to the values display in the reception area. We agreed these values are important to us at school and discussed how we show our commitment to these values at Blandford St Mary.
Democracy; Our elected school council provides a platform for children's opinions being heard and taken into consideration in decisions on the management of our school.
Rule of law. We understand the importance of rules, of rights and responsibilities and recognise the importance of devising School and class charters.
Individual Liberty At our school we have choices; we can choose after school clubs and sometimes which challenge to accept in our learning.
Mutual respect. Everyone is respected at our school. We make sure we speak and listen respectfully accepting that other people have their own views and opinions.
Acceptance of different Faiths and Beliefs. We enjoy learning about other Faiths and cultures in our country and around the world.

Meeting 11.1.17
Present - All year groups except yr6
Lloyd led the school prayer.
Agenda
Lunchtime Charter
Everyone has had the chance to think about the new Lunchtime Charter.
We want it to be based on the School Charter but to show clearly what this should look like in the lunch hall. We agreed on the following rights and responsibilities.
We discussed how this should be displayed and decided that it will need pictures to make it easier for the younger children to understand. Mrs Rees agreed to take pictures at lunchtime.
Once our ideas have been checked by Mr Carter we will make the Charter for the hall.
Mrs Rees thanked everyone for coming.
