School Council;. Our role?
Macmillan Coffee morning.
First we discussed exactly what the role of School Council is to be in school this year. Finally we came up with this list!
- To find out the ideas and views of our classmates
- To take our best ideas forward and act as a link between children and management of the school.
- To represent the children of our school when decisions are being made that affect us all.
- To think of ways we can improve our school.
- To ensure the school is safe for everyone.
- To help establish the Rights Respecting School Charter throughout the school
- To welcome visitors and show them around our school
- To raise money for the school
- To raise money for charities, both in our community and the wider world
- To make sure everyone has the opportunity to'Be the Best That They Can Be!'
Macmillan Coffee morning.
We decided that Ronnie would introduce himself and explain the role of School Council. Then, every member will introduce themselves. Finally Keeley will tell everyone about how the money raised will help fund the amazing work done by Macmillan Cancer nurses.Cakes will then be served by School Council members. Left over cakes will be plated up and sold for a pound a plate at the end of the day.
